Abstract: Reports on the status of studies at Bikini Atoll conducted under an agreement between the U.S. Departments of Territorial and International Affairs, Interior, and Energy. Five programs included are: Environmental protection, health and safety; Historic preservation; Natural resources management; Shoreline protection; and Economic development. Topics include circulation studies around Eneu Island; surveys of ships sunk during Operation Crossroads (the Able and Baker nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll in 1946) to determine their potential salvagebility, use as tourist dive sites or artificial reefs and the environmental hazards they pose; sea turtle conservation; agricultural resources on Bikini Atoll; aquarium fish and other potential economic resources of the atoll. Appendices include information on the history of the sunken ships; an interim report on Hawaii's aquarium fish industry and charts of the submarine signal cable network of Bikini Atoll.
