Abstract: The resource values of Vanuatu's coral reef and seagrass ecosystems-as sources of food as protector of shorelines, and as tourist attractions, are discussed. Their utility relies on long term viability of their component biotic populations. Natural and human-induced threats to them are discussed. The itinerary of the survey is described.
